As the vibrant month of May unfolds, Gracie Barra Sternschanze looks forward to embracing the spirit of key holidays. Among these is Labour Day, a significant day that weaves together the rich tapestry of history, struggle, and triumph—a day that resonates deeply with values of persistence and collective effort.

The Historical Significance of Labour Day

Labour Day, or “Tag der Arbeit”, is commemorated on the 1st of May. It’s a day steeped in history, marking the relentless struggle of workers who fought for fair labour practices and rights. It’s a reflection of unity, strength, and the undying spirit of communities coming together for a common cause. This day is a tribute to the achievements of workers and serves as a reminder of the importance of solidarity and fairness—principles that are also fundamentally celebrated in the martial arts community.

May Training Schedule Adjustments

We are introducing a special training schedule for May. This adjustment allows our members maintaining their training regime:

01.05.2024 – Labour Day (Tag der Arbeit)
09.05.2024 – Ascension Day (Christi Himmelfahrt)
19.05.2024 – Whit Sunday (Pfingstsonntag)
20.05.2024 – Whit Monday (Pfingstmontag)

Our special class timings for these dates are as follows:

GB K (All Kids): 9:30 AM - 10:20 AM
GB 1 (All Levels): 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
GB 2 (Live Training): 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
